Choir department finishes strong at district competition

THS choir director Cheryl Blankenship announced results from the recent district large group competition students attended at Western Heights High School.

Choir ratings are assigned as 1 being a superior performance, 2 is excellent and 3 indicates a good performance.

Tecumseh Middle School choir received a 1, 2 and 2 and a sight reading score of 2.

Tecumseh High School mixed choir earned a 1, 2 and 2 and a sight reading score of 2.

The high school treble choir received scores of 2, 2 and 2 and a superior 1 in sight reading and the high school tenor bass choir was scored at 2, 2 and 2 and a 3 in sight reading.

"I would like to thank my assistant director and accompanist, our band directors John Outon and David Bellows for providing our bus transportation and adult sponsors Amber Brandon and Cindy Anderson for all of their help," said Blankenship.

Choir students are accompanied by Jo Lewis and assistant director is Courtney Phillips.
