Seminole State College accepting concurrent enrollment students

Students who will be a junior or a senior next fall are being urged to complete enrollment for concurrent classes at Seminole State College as soon as possible.

Tuition will be free for all incoming seniors (some fees may apply) and classes can be taken at the Krouch College and Career Center through ZOOM (school computer furnished), in person on the SSC campus or via an online setting beginning in August 2020. These courses can be substituted for graduation credit at Tecumseh High School.

Interested students should check the SSC course offerings catalog:

Seminole State College course offerings

to determine what classes will be available and then email senior counselor Melissa Poole at poolem@tecumseh.k12.ok.us

She will need the following information: the courses desired and the type of setup you will want. Copies of transcripts and parent permission will be handled by Ms. Poole once she has validated students are on track for graduation.

All concurrent enrollment will be processed through email/telephone to comply with the current stay at home orders that are in place.  You will also need to email SSC academic counselor Britney Honsinger at B.Honsinger@sscok.edu with the following information:

  • First, middle, last name
  • birth date including the year
  • expected graduation date ex: Dec 2020, May 2021, Dec 2021 or May 2022
  • what term you are enrolling in ex: Summer 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021
  • The name and section number of the classes you want
  • Parents' full name, contact telephone number and email addresses to make confirmation of enrollment

Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis, so students are urged to enroll early to ensure the concurrent classes chosen will fit into a traditional high school schedule.
