Wednesday, September 05, 2018

The schedule for attending the University of Oklahoma's Engineering Experience has been announced.

Students in designated advisory classes will attend the event held on the OU Campus. Students from Mrs. Hogue's and Mr. Gentry's classes will attend the first day scheduled for Thursday, September 6.  Mrs. Burcham and Mr. Trice will take their classes on October 11, Mr. Trahan and Mr. Robberson will attend with students on October 25 and Mrs. Gillett and Mrs. Pearcy will travel to Norman with advisory classes on November 1.

The event allows students to get a first hand look at the world of engineering and the numerous opportunities for careers in the fields of electrical, mechanical, structural, petroleum and chemical engineering.  Tecumseh's enrollment in the Gear Up educational advancement grant make it possible to send a large number of students to the event free of charge.

During the presentation, students have the opportunity to interact with professional engineers as well as instructors and current OU engineering college students to be able to ask questions and attend demonstrations related to engineering lessons.
