Juniors at Tecumseh High School will be taking a free ACT on Tuesday, October 30.  The following guidelines will be followed according to Erin Meyers, THS counselor.

All juniors will be required to take this test and should arrive at the high school no later than 8 am.  The test will take place at two different sites which offer large and quiet areas for testing. School bus transportation will be provided for all students and no one will be allowed to drive to the testing site.  Please gather in the bus depot and attendance will be taken after students have boarded the bus. Students with last names beginning with letters A-G will load bus one and will travel to Tecumseh's Highland Church of Christ for testing.  Busses two and three will be for students whose last names begin with letters H-Y.  This category of students will test at the Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God gymnasium.

All students must bring two #2 pencils sharpened and a calculator.  Students will take sections 1 and 2 and then pause for a short break.  A snack for everyone will be provided by the school. Sections 3 and 4 will then be administered.

Following the completion of the test, students will be bused back to THS where they will be dismissed for the entire third period for lunch.  Options for lunch will include a cafeteria lunch which will be provided free of charge or students can go off campus for lunch.  Unexcused tardies will be counted for anyone making it back from lunch late to fourth period.  It has been determined by school administration that the third period class time will be plenty of time to have a lunch break.

There will be no financial expense charged to juniors to take this test.  It will be paid for in its entirety by Oklahoma's Gear Up program. If students wish to look over some materials prior to the test in order to ease anxieties, please clink this link and travel to the ACT Test Prep page.  If you do not have an act online ID you will need to make one before using the service.
