STEAM Center visits Cross Timbers

Students weren't going to let a pandemic keep them from experiencing non traditional lessons the STEAM Center offers them during a "regular" school year.

Activities center coordinator Iva Bingham took art to the sidewalks last week for all students at Cross Timbers. In keeping with the central themes of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics, Mrs. Bingham pre-taped sidewalks and then invited the classes a few at a time, to design and draw with chalk.

Weather cooperated and students were seen throughout the week working in groups or solo on their designs.

The finished work was so impressive it got the attention of local news station KOCO Channel 5 who conducted a fly over to see the work from the air.  Sky 5 chopper pilot Chase Rutledge is a Tecumseh alumni himself.
