TPS teachers will report to various sites on August 6 as the Avedis Foundation hosts the Celebrate Teaching School Year Kickoff Event. Area high school teachers will report to Gordon Cooper Technology Center while middle school teachers will meet at Shawnee Middle School. Crosstimbers teachers please go to North Rock Creek campus for meetings. Tecumseh Early Childhood Center will host all teachers from Barnard as well as TECC teachers. County Library Media Specialists will gather at the Shawnee Middle School Library. Events are planned for 8 am - 11 am. Following lunch on your own county teachers will reconvene at Firelake Arena at 12:45 pm to hear from Kim Bearden, co-founder of the Ron Clark Academy. Door prizes provided by area merchants will also be given away.
