Congratulations to The Class of 2022 Co-Valedictorian Elizabeth Kipps!
She has been named a Oklahoma Academic All State recipient. Elizabeth has always challenged herself academically. This year she has taken college and AP courses, while also being involved in extracurricular activities. Elizabeth is a member of THS Student Council, played volleyball, is a memeber of the National Honor Society, on the Varsity Academic team , BETA Club and FCCLA to name a few of her accomplishments. Most recently she participated in the school musical. Elizabeth is currently ranked first in her class with a 4.31 GPA and has an ACT score of 32. She is currently interning with the Shawnee Police Department. Elizabeth's future career plan is to work for the FBI, in the violent crimes unit. (Photo credit: Fritz Frameables)
Congratulations to The Class of 2022 Co-Valedictorian Jaxon Meyers!
During his time at THS he has excelled both in the classroom and in sports. Jaxon has been named a Student of the Month all 4 years and was nominated for Tri-County Student of the Month this year. Since 10th grade he has been a member of the Indian National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, a recipient of the Presidential Education Award for Excellence, and has been in the Top 10% of his class. Jaxon received the STEM Award 3 years in a row and received the American Citizenship Award as a sophomore and junior. He also received his THS Academic Letterman Jacket in May of 2021. Jaxon received recognition in both football and baseball. He was named a THS Football OK Farm Bureau Insurance MVP 2 years in a row. Athlete of the Week for Pottawatomie County in November 2021. In his junior year he was named All District Utility Baseball Player. Senior year he was VYPE Shawnee Area Fan Choice-Wide Receiver/Tight End and was All District Corner Honorable Mention. Jaxon's future plan is to become a physical therapist.
Congratulations to The Class of 2022 Salutatorian Danny Johnson!
He has been involved in activities at both THS and Gordon Cooper Technology Center. At THS Danny participated in Link Crew, Gifted and Talented, Academic Team, Spanish Club and is a member of Oklahoma High School Honor Society. His involvement at Gordon Cooper includes F.I.R.S.T Robotics competition, Team 2314 Sprockets, Skills USA, Skills USA Quiz Bowl and National Technical Honor Society. Danny plans to attend OSU with dual majors in electronical engineering and computer engineering.
