Good attendance recognized

Congratulations to the following TECC classes for terrific attendance the month of August. Mrs. Kinsey’s and Mrs. Steward’s classes had best attendance while Mrs. Sander’s, Mrs. Paige’s, Mrs. Stiles’ and Mrs. Steward’s classes “tamed the tardy villain” by having the fewest tardies each day during August.

Studies prove time and again that good attendance is necessary for
children to be successful students. When children are absent from class
too often they fall behind in academic progress. Chronic absenteeism is a
problem statewide for students which puts a strain on school
resources.  TPS believes that getting in the habit of expecting
consistent attendance will benefit everyone in the long run.
