TECC will celebrate Red Ribbon Week

October 28 through November 1 will be designated as Red Ribbon Week at Tecumseh Early Childhood Center and teachers have lots of activities planned for students.

Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. According to the US Drug Enforcement Agency Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug awareness and prevention program in the country.

The idea of a national Red Ribbon Week was promoted by The National Family Partnership which is a nonprofit organization founded in 1980 by a small group of concerned parents. They were determined to play a leadership role in drug prevention among American school children.

TECC like many area schools, has designated different themes for each day of the week and is encouraging students to participate in the dress up days. Below is a link provided by Mrs. Giaudrone, TECC principal with details for the days of the week.  Please note that for safety reasons, limitations are being placed on various dress up ideas and she is asking that parents make sure their children are abiding by the rules.
