The Board of Education of Tecumseh Public Schools is currently accepting letters of interest from individuals who reside in Ward 2 of the Tecumseh school district, who meet requirements for election and participation on a school board in the State of Oklahoma, and who are interested in appointment to serve on the Board. The time period will last from the date of appointment until the next election cycle in April 2024. Letters from interested individuals will be accepted until 3:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023. Letters may be delivered to the Tecumseh Board of Education located at 1301 E. Highland Street, Tecumseh, OK 74873. The current board members will review all letters that are submitted and select one person for the appointment.
Ward 2 has a north boundary of State Highway 9 with a northeast corner at Highway 9 and 12th Street. The east boundary follows 12th Street south to Sandy Rock Road and then west to Coker Road. From Coker Road, the boundary goes south to Highland Road. The south boundary includes all precincts in the district found west of the intersections found at Coker Road and Highland Road. The west boundary is located along a line from Fishmarket Road and Highway 9 south to Willow View Road and all precincts to the south.
